My Hair!!

HEy!! when I go away to boot camp am I going to have to cut my hair? This wont effect my descision in going I already made up my mind, but I want to know? Because I see some people with buns and others with short hair. I really dotn want to but if I have to then I guess I have no choice in the matter eh?

You will not "have" to cut your hair. But you will have to make sure that it stays "regulation"!

If your hair is long, you need to keep it up some way or another. If you are going to use clips and such, make sure they are the color of your hair. Your hair color must be of a natural tone also.

You can not let your hair go over your Uniform's collar, not let strands of it be hanging about.

Suggest you figure out how you want to wear it, and be able to get to that style Quickly!!!!
Practice now while you have the time and see if your style is going to stay... You are going to be doing things that may cause the style to "fall out"... and the rest of your platoon is Not going to love you if they have to do pushups cause "your" hair is all over the place...

You can always choose later, or even while in basic, to cut it to a style that is more "friendly" to the tasks you end up doing daily.

Personally, I am a hair nut... Love long hair on a woman.. When I went to basic, I met a girl at Reception that had hair to her knees and was very well kept... Too bad she cut it to her ears the next day........ ( She must have known I liked it long and cut it to keep me away from her!! Shocked

)

im the same as daddy i love long hair but you must also consider that while in basic you will be getting up very early and will have very little time to get dressed get the personal hygene out of the way and your bed made and your room squared away. there will be little time in the morning to fix your hair. a lot of females do keep there hair long and mannage to keep it neat and within regulation. remember it will grow back. just somthing to think about

When I was going to go in I had my hair short. Like Shawn said....it does grow back. You can get it cut in a style that doesn't take much work and still look cute...yet long enough to also not be tooooo short. Unless you know you can put it up quick, neat, and have it stay there.
